How do you make a custom crosshair in Deadlock?

Deadlock's crosshair is controlled by ten console settings: the red, green and blue color values, the length, thickness, gap and opacity of the four lines, an optional black outline, and the opacity of the centre dot and its outline. Move the sliders below and the preview updates over the game's hero art or map at the zoom you pick; the code underneath changes with it. When you like it, press Copy code, open the console in game with F7 (enable it in Options first), paste and press Enter. You can also start from one of ten presets, paste any crosshair code you found elsewhere to edit it, or press Share link to send your exact crosshair to a friend. Unlike the in-game slider, the gap can go negative here. No sign-up needed.

Crosshair FAQ

How do I change my crosshair in Deadlock?+

Open Options and scroll to the Reticle settings, or paste a crosshair code into the developer console: enable the console in Options, press F7, paste the code and press Enter.

How do I use a Deadlock crosshair code?+

Copy the code from this page, open the console with F7 in the Hideout or a match, paste it and press Enter. The crosshair changes immediately.

Can the crosshair gap be negative?+

Yes. The in-game slider stops at 0, but citadel_crosshair_pip_gap accepts negative values through the console, which pulls the lines closer to the centre.

What are the Deadlock crosshair commands?+

citadel_crosshair_color_r / _g / _b (0–255), citadel_crosshair_pip_border (true/false), citadel_crosshair_pip_opacity, citadel_crosshair_pip_width, citadel_crosshair_pip_height, citadel_crosshair_pip_gap, citadel_crosshair_dot_opacity and citadel_crosshair_dot_outline_opacity.

Can I change the dot size?+

Not that we know of. There is no published dot-size command; you can only change the dot's opacity and its outline.

Does my crosshair save after restarting?+

Changes made in the Reticle settings menu are saved by the game. If a console change doesn't stick, add the code to an autoexec.cfg — see our settings guide.

Is changing the crosshair allowed?+

Yes. These are the game's own settings; nothing is modified or injected.

How do I share my crosshair?+

Press Share link. The link stores your settings, so anyone who opens it sees the same crosshair and can copy its code.

More setup: best settings & FPS (console, autoexec) and how to install mods. Then pick a gun hero from the tier list.
